Trying to find the right colour the use can be a bit time consuming, so I decided to do it myself.

I tried a few failed attempts but this one worked the best

Make the most beautiful coloured coconut. Combine different coloured coconut and make coconut confetti.
1 tablespoon water
1 clean and dry jar
200g coconut
2-4 drops food colouring (you can use any colour you like neon colours stand out rather well but also your reds, blacks, yellows and green also you can make your own colour if the colour you desire is not sold)

  1. Put water in jar. Add food colouring  adjust according to the colour you want.
  2. Shake jar. Add coconut. Shake jar again, until completely mixed.
  3. Lay out on paper towels double up on a tray (a baking tray would be perfect)  allow to dry to make sure any extra moisture is gone.
  4. Store in plastic bags in refrigerator if not using right away.
  5. If coconut is not completely dry you can help the process along by setting your oven on a mid heat 180c  when desire heat is reach turn off oven and place coconut in oven and leave for 20.30 mins.
Before using the oven
If the coconut is too light in colour, separately mix food colour and water. Mix and add in a teaspoon at a time to darken. If coconut is too dark, add in more coconut and continue to shake until desired colour is reach.
Experiment with combining colours to create your own shade.
